Your internet connection is your gateway to information. And in the age of the internet the right information can be powerful to you. You will be able to know who is telling the truth from unbiased sources on the internet. One of the problems living in today's internet age is heavy amounts of censorship these day. Politicians can keep you from knowing what they are actually doing and keep others from what is going on inside of a country.

Take the country of Iran for example. If it wasn't for the little of what they have for internet videos would not have gotten out. These videos help the outside world to know what is going on the inside of a country. They helped us see the violence and human rights violations. Because of the internet in Iran we know that there are people that are sane. And there are people in Iran who wan't a regular life and less censorship on the internet.

The freedom some share in some countries isn't so free in others. And not only in countries but in work places and schools they are filtering your internet. Scanning for keywords and watching your every move online.

Today people seem to have a hard time going online without anyone knowing who they are. And what they are doing online.

Staying anonymous is so critical these days. People in third world countries post things online about there government and if they get caught they can get killed.

Were your government control your freedom of speech or your work prevents you from unionizing dangerous things can happen. Leaders can abuse people and say what they want and get away with it.
